Failed to Share

Troubleshoot the 'Failed to share. Please try again.' error when sharing devices in eWeLink.

When you fail to share devices, you will see the error as in the screenshot below. You will get the "Failed to share. Please try again." error.

Failed to share error in eWeLink app

If trying again does not work, please follow the steps below to troubleshoot.

1. Check if you have selected the correct country and entered the correct account.

2. Your account is on a different server than the receiver.

If the receiver's account is correct yet it fails again, it is possible that the receiver's account is on a different server than yours. In this case, you will need to submit a ticket in eWeLink app to check whose account was created in the wrong server and then follow the instructions of eWeLink to delete the account of the wrong server.

You cannot tell the server by the account's country, for it is decided by IP address instead. Sometimes, VPN or other network services which hide or change your IP address will cause such error, too.
