How to Update Firmware

Learn how to update the firmware on your eWeLink device step by step.

Make sure your device is online and connected to a stable Wi-Fi network before updating the firmware.

1. Check for Firmware Update Notification

Whenever there is a new firmware, you will see a message on top of the device screen which says "New firmware available. Open device settings to update it." If there is no such message, it means your firmware is not ready to upgrade yet.

2. Open Device Settings

Tap the three-dot icon on the top right of the app and select "Setting".

3. Check Firmware Version

On the "Device Settings" page, you will see the current firmware version and the latest version. Tap the right arrow beside the latest version.

4. Update and Confirm

Tap "Update Now" and then tap "Confirm" in the pop-up dialog.

5. Wait for the Upgrade

Go back to the device screen and you will see the firmware is being upgraded. On the top of the page is the progress of the upgrade.

6. Upgrade Complete

After the upgrade is completed, you will receive a prompt that says "Upgrade success". Go back to the device settings and you will see the firmware has been updated to the latest version.

Do not power off the device or disconnect from Wi-Fi during the firmware update process.
